Sinewave Audio, Inc.
was founded in 1997 by Micah Dean, who desired to help churches by
designing and installing quality production systems while working within their
budget. He wanted to encourage churches to move towards better quality
production and to teach them how to use these systems to help them achieve their
goal of communicating to their congregations and communities. Sinewave
Audio started out as a home based business, and was quickly growing too large
for the house that Micah lived in.
Before starting Sinewave Audio, Inc.
Micah had worked as a sub-contractor for many A/V installation companies.
He quickly realized that this industry was an unregulated and unchecked
industry. Companies were designing and installing systems with no regard
for function, similarity in quality of components, expandability or current
technology. Micah felt it was possible, and expected that a company should
be able to get the job done correctly the first time.
During the first few years of business,
Micah continued to do live production work, though it was not really the
focus of his goals for the company. With no real nurture of the live
production side of the business, it began to grow. It was realized
that there was a need in the live production industry for the same thought
and professionalism that Micah was applying to the audio installation side
of the business. It quickly became necessary to invest in a
professional production system. In 2000 Sinewave Audio, Inc.
purchased an EAW KF850 system. Larger events began to fill the
calendar, and in 2004 Sinewave Audio, Inc. invested in a JBL
Vertec line-array system. The increase in equipment and staff mandated
moving to a new facility. In the summer of 2006, Sinewave Audio,
Inc. moved into its new facility on Madison Avenue.
